An Evening with Diana Butler Bass: Grateful

The Way Collective is beyond excited to welcome award-winning author and internationally known public speaker and thought leader on issues of spirituality, religion, and culture, Diana Butler Bass for a special intimate event at the Center Stage Theater at Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara.

Diana is a former professor at both Westmont College and UCSB, and has deep roots in Santa Barbara and calls it her "soul" hometown. We couldn't be more excited to welcome her on November 4th at the beginning of the Thanksgiving season to talk about the practice of gratitude and how it can transform our lives and our world!

In her most recent book, Grateful, Diana helps us to see that although most of us know that gratitude is good — and good for us — there is a gap between our desire to be grateful and our ability to behave gratefully. The implications of the gap are bigger than we realize, affecting both our personal and public lives. In Grateful, Diana weaves together social science research, spiritual wisdom, and contemporary issues as she calls for a richer understanding and practice of gratitude. What emerges are surprising insights about the power of thankful living to change how we treat one another, and how we might transform our world.

Join us for an evening with Diana as she explores these themes, and dialogues in a Q&R with the audience.

Come early for a little pre-event social time including FREE beer and wine (did you just say FREE beer and wine? YEP.)

Doors: 6:45 PM

Event: 7:15 PM w/Q&R with Diana to follow!
